PriceFlock lists a product only when an official retailer API or approved product feed supplies enough information to identify the exact product, variant and offer. Retailer pages are not scraped to fill missing records.

Provider authorization

API credentials alone never activate a source. PriceFlock also requires documented permission for the comparison use case and, for affiliate networks, approval for each retailer program or product feed. Sources remain disabled until both checks pass.

Freshness standard

The production catalog is designed for six refresh cycles every day: one cycle every four hours. A visible offer must carry a valid source timestamp no more than five hours old. Missing timestamps, future timestamps and older records are rejected automatically. This is a PriceFlock quality rule, not an AdSense requirement.

Product images

A public product card may use only a current image delivered by the same authorized catalog feed. User-submitted Open Beauty Facts photography and undated legacy images are disabled. If a verified image is unavailable, the product is not published.

Exact product matching

Offers are matched by UPC, EAN or GTIN first, then by brand, model, size, shade and pack count. Ambiguous matches do not share a comparison page.

Delivered price

Ranking uses the delivered total only when item price and shipping are known. Taxes and location-specific charges must be confirmed on the retailer website.

Affiliate disclosure

PriceFlock may earn a commission from qualifying retailer links after affiliate agreements are active. Compensation does not change matching or ranking rules.
